Auditions for the Virginia Chorale Young Singers Project
The Virginia Chorale will hold auditions for the Young Singers Project in October. Auditions may be scheduled on October 16 at the Virginia Chorale office, 236 E. Plume, Norfolk and on October 21 at First Presbyterian Church, 514 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. High school-age singers of all voice categories are encouraged to audition for this select chamber choir. The YSP presents a concert in early February each year, with intensive 2-a-week rehearsals in January under the mentorship of Music Director, Robert Shoup and the Virginia Chorale professional singers. In addition to the January mentorship, the 2007 Young Singers Project will have a special opportunity to collaborate with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in a live telecast performance that is part of the Virginia Festival of American Voices. Final Audition for Virginia Chorale Young Singers Project
The Virginia Chorale will hold a final day of auditions for the 2007 Young Singers Project on November 20th at the Virginia Chorale office, 236 E. Plume, Norfolk. High school-age singers who participate in their school's choral programs are encouraged to audition for this select chamber choir. There are still openings in all voice categories. The YSP presents a concert in early February each year, with intensive 2-a-week rehearsals in January under the mentorship of Music Director, Robert Shoup and the Virginia Chorale professional singers. In addition to the January mentorship, the 2007 Young Singers Project will have a special opportunity to collaborate with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in a live telecast performance that is part of the Virginia Festival of American Voices.
